Rejoicing in God

We had a great time at today's FPF lunch! Pastor Dan Gelatt lead a discussion on "What Brings You Joy in Ministry?" What a time of fellowship and rejoicing!! Here are some of the thoughts that were shared...
-Answered Prayer -
Pastor Gelatt shared several stories of how God heard the cry of His people including a touching story about his own son.

-People walking in truth -
John Randolf referenced Phil. 4:1 where Paul called the church at Philipi his "joy and crown." He greatly rejoices when the people under his care walk with God and live the truth!

- Sharing Christ -
Ray Laborde rejoices when he gets the privilege to sit down with someone and share about God's saving GRACE!

If you missed it, we missed YOU. Just so you can plan ahead, our next meeting will be on October 7th. We will be at the Ryan's on CR 6 again as the Old Country Buffet in Goshen is booked that day. We will be discussing "What to do when you're down in ministry" - how to handle the discouraging moments of ministry. We want you there to hear YOUR input...and to encourage you as you serve God with us!

Are you a good teacher?

John Piper has some interesting thoughts on this!

Twitter isn't new...but it is new to a lot of churches! If you have thought about Twittering, there is a new e-book that will walk you through the process and give you some great ideas of how it can be used!

Practical Help with Scheduling

This was a great article recently posted on C.J. Mahaney's blog...

Scheduling the Unexpected
By C.J. Mahaney3/11/2009 2:01:00 PM
At the beginning of the biblical productivity series, I stated that busyness is no sign of diligence, faithfulness, or fruitfulness. And that is because busyness does not indicate that we are devoting ourselves to the most important things. We can become busy with everything under the sun except fulfilling the roles God has assigned for us. And no matter how busy I appear, if I am neglecting one of my primary roles, I am a procrastinator, spinning in unproductive circles.

To this point in the series we have focused on how to identify roles, create goals, and block out our schedule to make sure our time is focused on what is most important.
